Operating at a wavelength of 254 nanometers (UV-C), the bulb disrupts the DNA of microorganisms, preventing them from reproducing and rendering them harmless. UV sterilization is a chemical-free, environmentally friendly method of water disinfection and is widely used in domestic and commercial water treatment systems.

This bulb is a consumable replacement component and must be replaced at regular intervals to ensure continued water safety and system performance.

After this period, even though the bulb may still be lit, its effectiveness in emitting the required UV-C light diminishes significantly, which is why it is recommended to replace the bulb annually to maintain optimal disinfection performance.

• Never look directly at an operating UV Bulb.
