Important Feed Water Information
This system is designed primarily for treated municipal water.
Borehole, well, rainwater, river water or other untreated water sources must be tested by a SANAS accredited water laboratory before the system is selected or installed. Depending on the water analysis, additional pre-treatment may be required for Sediment, Hardness, Iron, Manganese, Microbiological contamination or other contaminants.
Hard water, elevated TDS, high sediment levels, excessive chlorine and other poor feed water conditions can reduce purified water production and shorten the service life of the filters, membrane, pump and UV components.
Important Usage Limitations
- This is a point-of-use drinking water purification system.
- It is not designed as a whole house or point-of-entry water purification system.
- It is not suitable for supplying the complete water demand of a property.
- It is not an industrial reverse osmosis system.
- The integrated diaphragm booster pump is not intended for uninterrupted continuous duty operation.
- The maximum 800GPD rating is a membrane production rating under standard test conditions and must not be interpreted as a recommended continuous daily operating duty.
- Using the system for continuous commercial production, water bottling or industrial applications may damage the pump and power adaptor and may void the applicable product warranty.
- Actual purified water production may be lower than the maximum rated capacity.
Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Systems Are Easy To Maintain And Upkeep Costs Are Minimal.
Reverse Osmosis Membranes and Filters will need to be replaced every 6 months to 2 years depending on the type of filter, your feed water quality and water usage volume.
Replacement Filters for a basic 5 Stage Reverse Osmosis Unit
Stage 1 –
The Sediment Filter removes visible particles such as rust, mud, dirt and any other floating particles from the water.
Stage 2 –
The Granular Activated Carbon Filter will remove chlorine or organic molecules, which can cause bad taste and smells, that may be in the water.
Stage 3 –
The Carbon Block filter is the next in line defense for any chlorine of organic molecules which might have got through from the 2nd stage. It also has a 5 micron filter ability to catch any carbon that might have broken off the 2nd stage.
Stage 4 –

Stage 5 –
As you may have guessed, the Taste and Odor Filter removes any remaining molecules that may cause a bad taste or smell to the water.
Optional 6th and/or 7th Stage –
Filter and membrane replacement intervals cannot be guaranteed. Actual service life depends on the incoming water quality, total water consumption, operating pressure, water temperature and maintenance of the system.
Filters may require earlier replacement when there is a noticeable reduction in purified water flow, deterioration in taste or odor, an increase in purified water TDS.
